Sandeep Shah, President and CEO

Sandeep brings a rare combination of attributes to Skyscape: technical know-how and far-reaching vision. He has worked for 20 years to break new ground in hardware and software development, and to pioneer applications for intelligent handheld devices. Sandeep led the team that produced the world's first truly usable handheld solution for physicians - an intelligent tool providing healthcare professionals with virtually all the reference information needed for diagnosis. From that landmark achievement, Sandeep has developed a full spectrum of handheld healthcare solutions.

Before focusing on handheld devices, Sandeep was extensively involved with operating system kernels, networking and massively parallel computers. His extensive work experience involves working with Apple, Microsoft, Digital, Logica (UK), Hitachi and Wang. His passion remains the synergistic user interfaces between humans and computing. Practicing his belief in the power of information shared, Sandeep is active in the handheld community through seminars, panel discussions, training programs and conferences.

Sandeep earned an M.S. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.

Kartik Shah, Vice President, Engineering & Operations

Kartik is a founding partner of Skyscape and brings more than 19 years experience in cutting-edge technology development to Skyscape's engineering initiatives. His demonstrated leadership ability and deep technical expertise in LAN, WAN, Wireless, databases, and the Internet naturally position him to lead the development and implementation of Skyscape's handheld and wireless programs.

Before joining Skyscape, Kartik served at Cornerstone Software as Vice President of Software Development. In that role, he was a key player in the development and deployment of the Company's key middleware software products, including Piccolo and Remote Server Call (RSC). These products offered by Compaq Computers are in use at major corporations and institutions around the globe. As a consulting engineer, Kartik helped develop key software solutions for several major CSI clients.

Kartik earned his M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute (VJTI), Bombay and has completed advanced management courses offered by the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.

Jaap Vermeulen, Vice President, Technology

With more than 19 years of experience in software engineering, Jaap has been instrumental in the development of Skyscape software technology. A member of the Skyscape team since its earliest days, Jaap has brought his extensive knowledge of software architecture and design to bear for Skyscape's products.

Jaap previously worked for Hitachi Computer Products, Informix Software, and Sequent Computer Systems. He worked on a variety of products, including a backup manager, a Java application server, a CORBA performance framework, and a systems management framework.

A graduate of the Hogeschool Oost Nederland Institute of Technology in The Netherlands, Jaap earned a B.S. in Computer Science. He did his thesis work at the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Will Passano, Vice President, Sales

Will Passano is a seasoned medical media executive with a senior management and sales experience. Apart from his leadership skills applied at various healthcare and educational corporations, he brings a wealth of sales leadership experience to Skyscape.

Prior to joining Skyscape, Will held executive positions as president of Ascend Media Healthcare, president of the Jobson Education Group and CEO of SCP Communications, a full service medical publishing, education and research company serving the pharmaceutical market sector. Prior to SCP, Will was managing all Business to Business sales for Williams & Wilkins, which was acquired by Wolters Kluwer to form Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in 1998. In this role, the group provided marketing solutions to the pharma community using the established branded products in both print and electronic formats authored by leading medical experts. With a solid sales background, Will has managed numerous sales teams with annual revenues ranging from $10mm to $55mm.

Will resides with his family in the great Princeton, New Jersey area and has a BS degree in business from Roanoke College, Virginia and a MS degree in business from Columbia University, New York City.

Brett Miller, Chief Marketing Officer

Brett Miller directs all marketing and web-related activities related to Physicians Interactive Holdings' (PIH) online products, pharmaceutical resources, and new technologies. He brings with him more than 20 years of business experience, including 10 years in Internet marketing and brand management. His guiding principles include a strong focus on the user experience and a firm commitment to providing each customer with mutual value.

Prior to joining PIH, Mr. Miller acted as Chief Marketing Officer at FX Solutions and General Manager of Sephora.com, the internet division of Sephora USA (owned by LVMH of France). In both cases, his direction in delivering an improved user experience led to increased revenue and substantial customer growth. As Director of Brand Strategy at Gap, Inc., he assisted in the creation and development of the GapBody brand and in other major marketing initiatives.

Mr. Miller grew up in New York City and attended Indiana University, receiving a B.S. in Marketing. He also holds an M.B.A from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
